Putin has $180,000 in bank savings
December 23rd, 2011 - 4:34 am ICT by IANSMoscow, Dec 23 (IANS/RIA Novosti) Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has a total of $179,612 in the bank, Russia’s Central Electoral Commission has said.
Putin has earned just over half a million dollars in the past four years, it said.
The prime minister’s financial details were made public as part of his bid to win a third stint in the Kremlin in elections due for March 2012.
Putin’s reported income for the last four years was $557,744, taking into account his salary, interest from bank deposits and shares, the Rossiyskaya Gazeta daily reported.
His assets include a share in a public garage, a Moscow apartment of 153 square metres, an apartment in St. Petersburg of 77 square metres and a 1,500-square metre plot of land.
Putin’s wife Lyudmila holds $261,541 in her four accounts. Her revenue for the last four years amounted to $46,258.
