“I am proud to be an Indian where one from 1.6 lakh Parsis can aspire to the head of the Supreme Court,” he said at a function organised by the Supreme Court Bar Association on the occasion of India’s 66th Independence Day.
Making a comparison with the state of affairs in the neighbouring countries, Chief Justice Kapadia said: “These things don’t happen in neighbouring countries and this needs to be appreciated.”
