Probe ordered into Trinamool ‘black money’

Kolkata, May 2 (IANS) The Election Commission has decided to probe the source of alleged black money the Trinamool Congress used in West Bengal, a senior official said Monday.

“The Election Commission has asked us to provide all the evidence as submitted by the Communists to substantiate their allegation against the Trinamool,” state Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Sunil Kumar Gupta said.

Earlier, the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) alleged that the Trinamool was using a huge amount of alleged black money to seek votes in the elections.

Deb submitted what he said was evidence before the Election Commission’s full bench during their visit to the state April 28.
