President sends out message of harmony on Diwali

New Delhi, Oct 16 (IANS) Greeting the nation on the occasion of Diwali, President Pratibha Patil Friday said the festival of lights should bring peace, prosperity and harmony in the country.
“On the joyous occasion of Diwali, I convey my warm greetings and good wishes to everyone in India and abroad. Diwali is the celebration of the victory of good over evil,” said a communique from the president’s office.
Patil said the festival of lights will illuminate the lives of those in need of help. Diwali will be celebrated in most places Saturday.
