obamaFlorida, Aug 17, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The weekend trip of the first family of the USA to Florida and the Gulf region may encourage tourists to visit the region as some people are assuming. The President along with his wife and daughter opted for a porpoise sighting. However, the president also chose to swim in the gulf water with his daughter as was revealed by one of the pictures taken by the White house staffs. As it is well known, after the BP oil spill tragedy a lot of tourists are not inclined to visit the Gulf coast region and the act of the first family may again bring them to the region. In turn the region may get a much needed boost in its tourism.

The first family of the USA spent the days in relaxation and tranquility far away from the hustle and bustle of their usual life in the Capital. The President, his wife and their youngest daughter found a porpoise at the St Andrews Bay while they were taking a boat ride. They saw the animal on Sunday while it was raining there. The president swam with his daughter in the gulf though the paparazzi were kept far away from the bay as he wanted privacy.

Later President Barack Obama said that the beaches across the Gulf Region are no longer polluted or oily. He also added that the seafood of the region can now be eaten without worrying about contamination. The first family of the USA is likely to spend leave for another holiday at Massachusetts. The GOP members are however using these trips as a weapon to criticize the president.
