President Barack Obama Visits Book Store On First Day Of Vacation

obama4Vineyard Haven, Aug 21, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Its seems United States President Barack Obama wants to spend his vacation with family by reading some recently released memoirs. On the first day of his family vacation at the upscale resort island of Martha’s Vineyard, the United States President was spotted visiting a local book store along with his two daughters and later emerging with two heavy shopping bags. Apart from getting his collection for summer reading, it has been reported that President Barack Obama spent the rest of the day playing golf while he also received the latest details on the matters of national security from the top counter-terrorism adviser of his administration.

Adorning a jeans, a polo shirt as well as a Chicago White Sox cap, President Barack Obama headed to the Bunch of Grapes Bookstore in Vineyard Haven accompanied with his daughters, Sasha and Malia and left the book store with two brown paper bags. According to aides, the paper bags contained a copy of the newly-released book “Freedom” penned by Jonathan Franzen. Although initially it was reported by the media that President Barack Obama purchased a copy for the fiction “Freedom,” later it was confirmed that he was just given an advanced copy of the novel which goes on sale by the end of this month.

Apart from own summer reading, an official of the book store has revealed to news sources that the United States President also bought two volumes of “To Kill A Mockingbird” by Harper Lee as well as John Steinbeck’s ‘The Red Pony’ for his two daughters.
