obamakucinich_370x278Washington, Mar 16, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The thorn in the way of the much touted health reform bill of President Barack Obama is Dennis Kucinich, a democrat. He is against the bill and thinks that it is not liberal enough to be passed. He also gave his vote last year against House health care bill. The president is trying his level best to make sure that the bill gets passed. He informed Dennis Kucinich that he is very serious about getting the bill passed.

After facing series of protest and opposition from the republicans, the fate of the health care reform package of the President now depends on a handful of Democrats. These democrats are against the bill for some reasons and The President wants to sort out the problems at the earliest. Not only the President, the democrats who support the bill are also trying to convince the undecided lot to give their vote for it. Earlier, the president met with Democrat Scott Murphy who is also uncertain about voting for the bill. He was asked by the President for his suggestion.

The White House is working overtime to ensure that the health reform bill gets past all the obstacles in the coming days but given the kind of unease the Democrats have within the party, it looks like an uphill task. Only a few days after Nancy Pelosi, the House Speaker will bring it up for a vote. It seems that the lobbying efforts of the White House need to be stepped up. The proponents of the bill are keeping their fingers crossed.
