President Barack Obama Pays Tribute To Late US President John F Kennedy

Barack ObamaJan 21 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The president of USA Barack Obama paid tribute to former US president John F Kennedy on Thursday saying that the work and life of the late leader should serve as an example for the citizens of USA to make their country proud. He said in his speech that “Because of his vision, more people prospered, more people served, our union was made more perfect. Because of that vision I can stand here tonight as president of the United States”. He was giving the speech at the anniversary of the 35h President of USA. The venue was a performing arts centre near Potomac River which is in fact a tribute to the late president.

President Barack Obama admitted that he cannot recall the historic event because the late President was killed months after he was born. He however learned a lot about him from his parents and grandparents he told the audience at the ceremony. He reminded the residents that instead of choosing to live a lavish and luxurious life the late former President of USA opted for idealism and worship. He also said that it was a tough time for the then president as the USA was having a political cold war with USSR. The political relation with other countries was also not sweet at all.

In the words of President Barack Obama late president John F Kennedy led “volatile America, in this tinderbox of a world”. He also lauded the efforts of the late former president in championing the rights of the Black Americans at that time. The space efforts of USA also gained momentum in his tenure.
