President Barack Obama Had Lunch At Seattle’s Grand Central Bakery

Barack ObamaSeattle, Aug 18, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The visit of the president of the USA Barack Obama to Seattle made headlines but not only for the political discussions and interactions he had with the media there. The president was hungry and he visited the Grand Central Bakery. The bakery staffs were astonished as they did not see him in person before. The president went through the menu of the bakery thoroughly and then placed his orders for the lunch. He chose a Skagit Valley salad along with a half turkey dish. He came to Seattle for a couple of fund raising events and stopped at the bakery for having his lunch. Thereafter he held a discussion with a handful of small business owners. They were totally impressed by the views and thoughts of the president.

Gillian Allen-White the general manager of the Grand Central Bakery later said that his experience of meeting the President was great. She was not sure whether the president would eat himself at the bakery. During the visit of the president the bakery was closed. The President arrived at the bakery at Pioneer Square at 1.35 am as it has been reported. A large crowd gathered around the streets and they gave him cheers and applaud as he stepped in the bakery.

He entered the Grand Central Bakery through the kitchen door and interacted with 7 staffs who were inside at that time. He spent quite some time in inspecting the bakery menu. He seemed satisfied with what he ordered and ate at the bakery. He was back to business and discussion with business owners once the lunch was over.
