Premises of Tamil Nadu officials raided
October 14th, 2011 - 7:03 pm ICT by IANSChennai, Oct 14 (IANS) The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) Friday raided the premises of several Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) officials for alleged irregularities in the recruitment of assistant dental surgeons.According to a DVAC statement, raids were conducted at the residence of TNPSC Chairman R. Sellamuthu and commission members in Chennai and Tiruchirapalli, around 320 km from here.
Only two months back, TNPSC was brought under the purview of DVAC.
According to DVAC, the officials under scanner abused their position to commit criminal misconduct to gain pecuniary benefit.
