Pratibha Patil arrives in Kolkata on two-day visit

Kolkata, Dec 6 (IANS) President Pratibha Patil arrived here Sunday evening on a two-day visit.
Patil, India’s first woman head of state, was received at the N.S.C. Bose International Airport by West Bengal Governor Gopal Krishna Gandhi, Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee and other senior officials.
During her stay in the city, Patil will address the concluding function of the platinum jubilee of the Indian National Science Academy at the Saha Insitute of Nuclear Physics (SINP) Monday.
Patil is also scheduled to inaugurate a solar photo voltaic power project at the Raj Bhavan Monday evening.
She will leave for Delhi Tuesday morning.
