Pranab, senior Congress leaders meet PM

New Delhi, June 15 (IANS) Senior Congress leaders, including Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Friday to discuss the presidential elections, officials said.
Besides Mukherjee, considered front-runner for the post, his cabinet colleagues Salman Khurshid, P. Chidambaram and Kapil Sibal reached the prime minister’s 7, Race Course Road residence around noon.
The meeting comes ahead of the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) meeting scheduled at 4 p.m. to finalise the presidential candidate.
