Polling agent killed in Haryana
October 13th, 2009 - 1:39 pm ICT by IANSChandigarh, Oct 13 (IANS) A polling agent of an independent candidate was killed Tuesday, following an election-related group clash while polling was on in Guhla (reserved) constituency of Haryana’s Kaithal district.
A police officer said Jyoti Ram was a polling agent of independent candidate Kulwant Bazigar. He was killed in Hemu Majra village of Kaithal, about 150 km from here.
Kaithal district police chief Sandeep Khirwair denied knowledge of the incident.
“We are on a round to see security arrangements for voting,” Khirwair told IANS.
