The decision was taken at a meeting between AIADMK general secretary and former chief minister J. Jayalalithaa and PMK founder leader S. Ramadoss, two days after the PMK quit the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance.
The PMK will also be awarded a Rajya Sabha berth, Jayalalitha told reporters.
Jayalalitha described the AIADMK-led grouping in Tamil Nadu, which also includes Vaiko’s MDMK and the two main communist parties, as “a winning combination”.
