PM, Sonia congratulate Mamata

Kolkata, May 13 (IANS) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress president Sonia Gandhi Friday congratulated Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee as her party was headed for a landslide win in the West Bengal assembly polls.
“Prime Minister Manmohan Singh called me up from Afghanistan. He said he is overwhelmed with joy,” Banerjee told a jubilant crowd at Kalighat residence in south Kolkata.
She said Congress chief Gandhi had also sent a message with her best wishes.
