New Delhi, July 22 (IANS) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was Tuesday unable to deliver his much awaited reply to the two-day debate on the confidence motion in the Lok Sabha with opposition MPs creating such a ruckus that he could not be heard. Amid shouts of “PM should resign”, Manmohan Singh then handed over his speech to Lok Sabha secretary general P.D.T. Achary.
The speaker then put the motion to a voice vote and declared “the ayes have it” to howls of protest from the opposition.
The speaker then ordered a division, which means tht MPs will have to cast their vote by pressing a button.
