New Delhi, March 9 (IANS) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Tuesday met the three Yadav leaders, Samajwadi Party’s Mulayam Singh Yadav, Janata Dal-United’s Sharad Yadav and Rashtriya Janata Dal’s Lalu Prasad, in a bid to resolve differences over the contentious Women’s Reservation Bill.
The three leaders asked the prime minister to convene an all party meeting to discuss the issues relating to the bill.
Violent protests by the parties had Monday blocked voting on the bill, promising 33 percent reservation to women in parliament and state legislatures, in the Rajya Sabha.
