PM meets president, says will face trust vote

New Delhi, July 10 (IANS) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh met President Pratibha Patil Thursday evening and informed her that he will face a vote of confidence in parliament. “The prime minister told the president that he will seek a vote of confidence and the government will communicate the date by Friday evening,” Sanjaya Baru, media advisor to Manmohan Singh, told IANS.

The meeting between the prime minister and the president at Rashtrapati Bhavan lasted for about 30 minutes.
