New Delhi, Sep 7 (IANS) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Wednesday night drove straight to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital from the airport on his return to New Delhi from Dhaka and met those injured in the bomb blast outside the Delhi High Court that killed 11 people and left at least 76 wounded.
He wished speedy recovery to all the injured in the blast and made inquiries from doctors about their condition. Nearly 50 of the injured are in the RML hospital.
Sources said that the prime minister stayed at the hospital for nearly half-an-hour. Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad briefed him about the arrangements made to provide medical attention to the injured.
Earlier, in his interaction with journalists on board special aircraft on his way back from Dhaka, the prime minister said there were “some leads” to the blast but it was too early to say which group was behind the bombing.
He said there were “weaknesses” in the security system that needed to be plugged.
