PM introduces new aviation minister to parliament

New Delhi, Dec 19 (IANS) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Monday introduced to parliament the newly inducted member of the union cabinet, Ajit Singh.
As is the practice, the prime minister introduced the new civil aviation minister to both the Rajya Sabha and the Lok Sabha, where he was welcomed by members with thumping of desks.
The Rashtriya Lok Dal leader was inducted into the union cabinet Sunday, after his party forged an alliance with the Congress.
Ministers and members of the ruling party were later seen congratulating the RLD leader, who is the 33rd minister in the union cabinet and 77th in the council of ministers.
