PM discusses parliament, Bangladesh trip with president

New Delhi, Sep 13 (IANS) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Tuesday called on President Pratibha Patil and discussed the just concluded monsoon session of parliament as well as his Bangladesh visit, officials said here Tuesday.
The meeting lasted for about 40 minutes, a communique issued by Rashtrapati Bhavan said.
“The prime minister briefed the president about the just concluded monsoon session of parliament and his recent visit to Bangladesh,” the statement said here.
The monsoon session of parliament concluded Sep 8.
“They also discussed various other issues of national and international importance,” it added.
Manmohan Singh visited Bangladesh Sep 6-7. It was a first by an Indian prime minister in 12 years. The visit helped resolve a festering boundary row and saw both countries inking accords on various issues.
