PM calls on President Patil

New Delhi, Aug 28 (IANS) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh called on President Pratibha Patil at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Friday to discuss “issues of national and international importance”, an official statement said.
The meeting, which lasted for about 50 minutes, comes ahead of the president’s forthcoming state visit to Russia and Tajikistan.
