P.K. Pradhan takes over as health secretary
October 17th, 2011 - 9:30 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Oct 17 (IANS) P.K. Pradhan Monday assumed charge as secretary in the ministry of health and family Welfare, an official statement said.
An IAS Officer from 1977 batch of the West Bengal cadre, Pradhan was previously special secretary and mission director, National Rural Health Mission in the department of health and family welfare.
Pradhan replaces K. Chandramouli, who retired last month.
Another IAS officer, Kiran Dhingra assumed charge as secretary in the panchayati raj ministry.
Dhingra has previously served as secretary, ministry of housing and urban poverty alleviation.
