In a statement issued by Jammu Kashmir Peoples League acting Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza has expressed his profound grief and sorrow over the loss of lives — in earthquake which shook Balochistan on Wednesday.
In a condolence message, he said Kashmiri nation stands with the people of Pakistan and particularly relatives of the victims in this hour of trial. He further said that these days the Pilgrims leave for the Hajj which is one of the basic fundamental rights (FARAZ) in Islam.
He appeals to the people do not desist the Pilgrims and leave them with no trouble so that they can perform the HAJJ in religious fervour and presages the Government agencies not to interfere in religious matter, Mukhtar Waza urges Hajj pilgrims while performing their fundamentals of HAJJ (Makkah and Madinah) to pray for the peace and prosperity in Jammu Kashmir because peace only ushers growth and development in the sub-continent.
Meanwhile senior Peoples League leader Gh. Nabi Waseem addresses a public gathering at Jamia Masjid Magam Handwara district Kupwara after Friday prayers. He appeals to the people to desist from polls because so-called Kashmir elections are a meaningless exercise which will not help in resolving the Kashmir problem.
