Pennsylvania Rep John Murtha hospitalized
February 3rd, 2010 - 12:03 am ICT by BNO NewsWASHINGTON D.C. (BNO NEWS) — Pennsylvania U.S. Representative John Murtha is in the intensive care unit at the Virginia Hospital Center, Politico reported on Tuesday quoting his office.
The 77-year-old Congressman is currently serving his 19th term. He has served the people of Pennsylvania’s 12th Congressional District since 1974. Having a thirty-seven year career in the U.S. Marine Corps, he was the first Vietnam War veteran elected to the U.S. House of Representatives.
Murtha underwent gall bladder surgery last week after having an infection last December, Politico added.
