Passover Seder Held In White House

sedMar 30, (THAINDIAN NEWS) United States President Barack Obama was host to a Passover Seder which was organized on Monday night in the White House and was attended by as many as twenty guests, White House officials have reportedly revealed. Passover Seder is known to be a Jewish ritual feast which symbolizes the commencement of Passover, the Jewish holiday which marks the biblical event of the escape of Hebrews from the slavery in Egypt.

Although President Barack Obama is not a Jew, he is known to have held the Passover Seder even last year at White House. According to reports, the Passover Seder which was organized in the White House witnessed the presence of a number of individuals which included staffers as well as friends of the first family. Among the guests, who are reported to have attended the dinner includes Susan Sher, David Axelrod, Valerie Jarrett along with a host of other guests who supposedly gathered at the Old Family Dining Room of the White House. Meanwhile, reports have also stated that the dinner comprised of a lavish array of delectable and traditional recipes which included chicken roast, gefilte fish, braised beef brisket, carrot souffle, chicken soup with matzo balls, among others.

President Barack Obama is the first United States president to have ever organized Passover Seder in White House, a tradition which might go down in history books as one of the legacies of the President Barack Obama. When the United States President decided to arrange the Passover Seder for the first time in White House, many media sources had projected it as an attempt to appease the American Jews.
