Bokaro (Jharkhand), April 22 (IANS) Over 100 Bharatiya Janata Party workers were arrested while protesting over rising prices of essential commodities during Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s visit to Jharkhand Tuesday. The BJP workers were marching to Birsa Munda airport to show black flags to Singh.
Singh was in Jharkhand to lay the foundation stone for the expansion and modernization of the Bokaro Steel Plant.
During Singh’s speech at Bokaro, over 50 BJP workers shouted slogans against rising prices of essential commodities. The police arrested them also.
