Oregon Governor accepting applications for new judge
February 16th, 2010 - 3:56 am ICT by BNO NewsSALEM, OREGON (BNO NEWS) — Oregon Governor Ted Kulongoski on Monday announced that he is accepting applications for the Marion County Circuit Court to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of former judge Lynn Ashcroft.
Governor Kulongoski will fill this vacancy by appointment based on merit. He encourages applications from lawyers with a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences.
Attorneys interested in appointment to the position must submit an Interest Form for Judicial Appointments to the Governor’s office by 4:00 p.m. local time on Friday.
