Bhopal, Jan 13 (IANS) Madhya Pradesh leader of opposition Ajay Singh Friday dropped a complaint against the home minister in the complaint box installed at Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s residence.

His complaint against Home Minister Uma Shankar Gupta alleged corruption in police recruitment. The Madhya Pradesh police department recently recruited subedars and platoon commanders on 515 posts.

“In the entire process of recruitment, several irregularities are being committed and not only the home minister but his relatives too are influencing the process. Several people across state have complained to me. So Friday I decided to drop all those complaints in the chief minister’s complaint box to see whether he acts on it or not,” Ajay Singh told reporters.

Singh said they had raised the issue during the last assembly session but no action was taken. He demanded a high level inquiry into the matter.
