November 6th, 2010 - 6:31 pm ICT by IANS
New Delhi, Nov 6 (IANS) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Saturday said it had expected “a hard hitting” statement on terrorism from US President Barack Obama.
“(Barack) Obama’s speech was disappointing. We were expecting a hard-hitting statement from the US president on the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack,” BJP spokesperson Rajiv Pratap Rudy told reporters.
Speaking at the Taj Hotel in Mumbai, one of the targets of the 26/11 terror attack, Obama said: “Those who attacked Mumbai wanted to demoralise the city and India but they failed because the very next day the people of Mumbai were back to work.”
Obama, accompanied by wife Michelle Obama, is on a four-day visit to India that began Saturday.
