Obama Administration’s Press Secretary Robert Gibbs Steps Down

Jan 6, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Press Secretary of Obama Administration, Robert Gibbs announced on Wednesday that he is stepping down from his post and would leave the White House to become the outside adviser of the administration. White House officials has not yet named any replacement of the Press Secretary announced that the change would take effect from February. On Wednesday, at the press conference, Robert Gibbs said that it was an opportunity of his lifetime and he would forever be grateful to Obama Administration to give him the opportunity to serve the nation.
Robert Gibbs told that he would never exchange the worst days of his life in White House for another job in the world. He said that last years of his life in Obama Administration has been remarkable in his life, however, he feels that now it is the time for him to step back. The former communications director of President Barack Obama said that last four years has been the busiest years that White House and Washington have seen in the “couple of decades”.
The White House officials issued a statement by President Barack Obama where he stated that Robert Gibbs was his close friend, an effective advocate and also was one of his closest advisers. Robert Gibbs said that he feels that is time for him to take a “break” from all his busy schedules and give some time to his family. In one of the interviews, President Barack Obama told a reputed media source that Robert Gibbs will be a close adviser of Obama Administration and he would continue to ” to shape the dialogue politically” in the years to come.
