New York, Nov. 4, (THAINDIAN NEWS) NY23 elections has turned in favor of the Democratic Party. Bill Owens, the Democrat candidate, has taken a lead in this seat and sources stated that he won the election. The election results of New Jersey and Virginia had not turned in favor of the Democratic Party. They were disappointed to lose the two major seats in the election. However, the result of the NY23 Congressional Districts election had added the necessary boost that they required. This was an important seat for the Republicans and it is known that they held the seats continuously in several elections.
Doug Hoffman, the candidate of the Republican party for the NY 23 Congressional has been disappointed by the election results. Sources stated that he had lost the election narrowly, by a margin of few [percentage] of votes. After the election results were declared, Doug Hoffman said, “I congratulated Bill Owens on his win tonight and I will work with him to rebuild economy of the North County.” Hoffman had done extensive campaigns before the election and his defeat in this election made the party lose one of its most important seats.
Though the result of the NY23 elections did not turn in favor of the Republican Party, they have become victorious in New Jersey as well as Virginia. Election results of these two seats were very important for the Democratic Party, [President Obama had come to the office nearly one year ago]. The election results of the country might be indicating that the political scenario might have changed after a year.
