Now become a licensed immigration adviser in New Zealand
April 9th, 2011 - 10:10 pm ICT by IANSHamilton (New Zealand), April 9 (IANS) People in New Zealand can now choose to become a licensed immigration adviser as the authorities are considering a requisite qualification for the post.
Immigration Adviser Authority in partnership with the University of Waikato and the University of Victoria (Melbourne) has signed a contract with the Bay of Plenty Polytechnic to develop and deliver a qualification for New Zealand immigration advisers.
The qualification, first of its kind, will be offered from February 2010 and it is likely that from July 2012 it will be mandatory to complete the qualification in order to apply for a full or limited immigration adviser licence to give advice about New Zealand immigration matter.
Immigration Adviser Authority had already introduced mandatory offshore licensing from April 4, 2010, making it mandatory for all advisers providing advice about New Zealand immigration matters must be licensed unless they are exempt, no matter where in the world they provide that advice.
