North Korea To Appoint Kim Jong Un As Its New Leader

Oct 9, (THAINDIAN NEWS) North Korea is all set to witness the transfer of power and the preparations are under way. The Defense Minister of North Korea informed the South Korean parliament that almost 15000 soldiers have been called at the capital of North Korea, Pyongyang to make arrangements for the parade. North Korea has tradition of celebrating big political functions ad events with elaborate showoff of its military arsenal. The appointment of Kim Jong Un as the next leader of North Korea at the age of 28 marks a significant step in the future of the country. As of North Korea is trying to set its focus on coping with the internal and external hardships related with the succession. His father who is now 68 suffered a stroke 2 years back and it was evident at that time that he would have to make way for a successor.
Last week Kim Jong Un was made a four-star general. He was also appointed as the vice chairman of the Central Military Commission of North Korea last week. The state media published his image for the first time. The chief sate newspaper North Korea the Rodong Sinmun published a long editorial on Monday reminding the residents of the contributions of Kim Il-sung the father of Kim Jong Un and the founder of the country.
The ruling political party on North Korea recently a high priority conference in Pyongyang to officially approve the transfer of power from the ailing leader to the successor. The news has made sensation in the political circle especially in adjacent Asian countries including Japan and China.
