Chandigarh, Feb 14 (IANS) The National Democratic Alliance (NDA), led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), will hold a rally Feb 20 in Haryana’s Rohtak town to highlight the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government’s shortcomings, a BJP leader said Monday.”A huge rally will be organised at Rohtak Feb 20 against the bad governance of the UPA and also of the Congress-ruled states. Senior NDA leaders, including BJP’s Nitin Gadkari, L.K. Advani and Sushma Swaraj and Janata Dal-United (JD-U) chief Sharad Yadav, will address the rally,” the BJP’s Haryana state president Krishan Pal Gujjar told reporters.
He said: “The UPA government is ailing with widespread corruption at all levels. Inflation has gone out of the control and the public is at the receiving end due to their wrong policies. We will highlight various scams of the UPA during our rally.”
Gujjar also criticised the Haryana government for its land acquisition policy.
“There are some Congress leaders who are against the land acquisition policy of the Bhupinder Singh Hooda government in Haryana. But still the Congress is adamant on pursuing the wrong policy. Farmers are the ultimate losers as they have to sell their fertile land at throwaway prices,” he said.
