Mar 27, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Healthcare Bill was passed in the House a few days back but the event was not peaceful by any means. As many people read later in the papers and web, the GOP and Tea Party supporters created mayhem outside the venue and even tried to abuse the Democrats verbally and physically. They used racial and homophobic slurs at some Democrats as it was reported. A section of the protesters were bitter about Nancy Pelosi, the speaker of the House. It has been found that when she entered the house with a few fellow Democrats, the protesters heckled her. It has made the Democrats furious and they have severely criticized the atrocities of the protesting Tea Party members and opponents of the much disputed Healthcare bill.

The House Democrats condemned the vandalism and attempts to heckle their party members in the next few days. They also expressed the opinion that the Republicans who criticized the acts of violence were too mild in their approach. Nancy Pelosi was subject to violent protest and abuse. People were seen shouting for her resignation and some used profanities allegedly. She also condemned the Republicans who applauded the people who were creating disruption to the proceeding inside the House on Sunday. She got the support from Steny Hoyer, the House Majority Leader.

Nancy Pelosi said to the media later that the opponent politicians should be careful about the words they use to excite the followers as it can turn dangerous at times. She said that the words used by the protesters on that day were truly menacing and condemnable in nature.
