Nafisa Ali files nomination from Lucknow

Lucknow, April 8 (IANS) Samajwadi Party candidate and social activist Nafisa Ali filed her nomination for the Lucknow Lok Sabha seat Wednesday.
“We all should work honestly for the progress and prosperity of the party and the people of the state,” she said before leaving for the district collector’s office for filing her nomination.
Samajwadi party named Ali as its candidate after Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt was barred from contesting elections by the Supreme Court.
Ali contested as a Congress candidate from the Kolkata seat in West Bengal in the last general elections.
