Kolkata, Dec 15 (IANS) West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee Wednesday described her relationship with senior Congress leader and union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee as “somewhere between summer and autumn”.
“My relationship with Pranabda is at times like the summer, then may be winter, but also there are autumnal times. I recently met him and requested him not to quarrel with me. I told him that I respect him a lot, and urged him to continue our relationship like this,” she said in an interview to Bengali TV channel Star Ananda.
“Right now the relationship is somewhere between summer and autumn,” said Banerjee with a smile.
The relationship between Banerjee and Mukherjee has witnessed few ups and downs following difference of opinion of their respective parties Trinamool Congress and Congress on several issues.
The chief minister also had some words of advice for her opponents, “Why are you getting so impatient? Be patient and enjoy life.”
