Mulayam’s ‘dictatorship’ fatal for Samajwadi Party: Azam

October 20th, 2009 - 6:40 pm ICT by IANS Tell a Friend -

Lucknow, Oct 20 (IANS) Expelled Samajwadi Party leader and Rampur legislator Azam Khan Tuesday termed party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav “a Hitler” and said that his “dictatorship” will prove fatal for the party.
“The party has now become Kalyanwadi Samajwadi Party and has also lost the faith of the Muslims. Mulayam is behaving like a Hitler, and besides destroying the party, it will also lead his political career to an end,” Khan said while talking to mediapersons in Lucknow.

Khan revolted against the party leadership and was ultimately expelled after former chief minister and Bhartiya Janata Party rebel Kalyan Singh shook hands with Yadav just before the Lok Sabha polls April-May this year.

Khan alleged that the Samajwadi Party is also following in the footsteps of the Congress and making politics a family business.

“By giving a ticket to his daughter-in-law Dimple Yadav for the Firozabad seat, Mulayam Singh has clearly indicated that he is making it a party of his family,” he said.

Khan also blamed party general secretary Amar Singh for earning a bad name for politics and democracy. “The recent case lodged against him clearly shows how he is abusing the political system and using it to earn black money,” he said.

Khan claimed that the Samajwadi Party will face a humiliating defeat in the forthcoming bypolls to 11 assembly and one Lok Sabha seat in the state.

“The Muslims have lost faith in the party and are no more with them. Yadav will never taste power in the state in future,” he claimed.
