Agra, April 29 (IANS) Former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Kalyan Singh, who has joined hands with the Samajwadi Party, Wednesday said that Mulayam Singh Yadav has all chances of becoming the prime minister, and ridiculed Chief Minister Mayawati’s ambition for the top job.
Kalyan Singh, a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) rebel who is contesting as an Independent candidate, addressed a rally in a village near Fatehabad, some 20 km from here, and said Mayawati was “like Mungeri Lal (an old comical TV character) and was dreaming of becoming the country’s PM”.
He alleged that Mayawati’s Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) had given tickets to numerous anti-social elements and asserted that it was the Samajwadi Party chief who would go on to become prime minister.
“Mulayam Singh Yadav will become the prime minister…,” said Kalyan Singh, who is contesting from Etah constituency.
He also criticised the Brahmin leaders supporting Mayawati.
Kalyan Singh was accompanied by Samajwadi Party general secretary Amar Singh, Manoj Tiwari and actor-turned politician Sanjay Dutt. He was campaigning for party candidate Raghuraj Shakya pitted against the Congress party’s Raj Babbar in Fatehpur Sikri.
Sanjay Dutt obliged and entertained audiences with popular dialogues from his films.

BJP, as a political party in
India began to grow like a
weed, and the growth was totally based on injecting Hindu
religious zeal to the masses.
But the growth is being hampered
at every turn due to the
breaking away of leaders and
other factors involved. The
minorities know the fact very
well that BJP will be their
enemy, and they are never going to change the mind.
The same fate of the communist
parties in India will fall on BJP.
