Mulayam accepts Amar Singh’s resignation
January 17th, 2010 - 7:59 pm ICT by IANSLucknow, Jan 17 (IANS) After claiming for days that he would not do so, Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav Sunday finally accepted Amar Singh’s resignation as party general secretary.
Yadav said in Mainpuri in Etawah that he had accepted Amar Singh’s resignation, party sources told IANS in Lucknow Sunday.
Amar Singh had announced his sudden resignation as general secretary on Jan 6, apparently peeved with the state of affairs in the party.
Last Sunday, Mulayam Singh had maintained that he would not accept the resignation and that the party bickering was a “family affair” that would be soon sorted out.
