Washington DC, Dec 19 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Monica Lewinsky, the former White House intern who shook the former US President Bill Clinton’s presidency, says in a new book that he lied under oath when he was talking about their romantic interludes.

Ken Gormley has written the book ‘The Death of American Virtue’, which is due in February. In the book he also reveals the juicy details about another affair of the President with Susan McDougal. Susan is one of the very few people who have been behind bars because of the Whitewater investigation.

In the book ‘The Death of American Virtue’, author Ken Gormley provides “a detailed, even scholarly retelling of an epic saga of grand jury depositions, fevered partisans, and a single stained blue dress that once transfixed a nation,” Politico writes. Author Ken Gormley interviewed a number of people like the former US President Bill Clinton, Monica Lewinsky, independent counsel Ken Starr and former Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott during the course of writing the book.

The White House intern who rocked Bill Clinton’s presidency Monica Lewinsky told Ken Gormley, a Duquesne University law professor, that she believes Clinton lied during his grand jury testimony. “There was no leeway [there] on the veracity of his statements because they asked him detailed and specific questions to which he answered untruthfully,” she reportedly wrote to Gormley.
