Mirwaiz Farooq arrested in Srinagar
June 17th, 2010 - 2:28 pm ICT by IANSSrinagar, June 17 (IANS) Mirwaiz Umer Farooq, chairman of the moderate Hurriyat group, was Thursday arrested while leading a protest march to the UN Military Observer Group headquarters here.
Mirwaiz Farooq was taken into custody along with his supporters outside the building of Radio Kashmir while proceeding towards Sonawar area to denounce alleged human rights violation in Jammu and Kashmir.
