Washington, Jan 4 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Minnesota lawmaker Michelle Bachmann is going to throw in the towel as far as the race for the White House is concerned. Considered a favorite at the star of the contest last year, Bachmann slipped out of lead at the middle part of the Republican race and was eventually humiliated at the Iowa caucus last Tuesday.

A top adviser of Bachmann says the congresswoman is going to announce the end of her race. At the Iowa caucus, Bachmann finished disappointing sixth and that seems to be enough to knock all her confidence off.

Bachmann of course believes that she is the only one who can pose real challenge to President Barack Obama in the presidential race later in the year. She has made this message clear wherever she campaign.

Shortly after the results from the Iowa caucus, Bachmann told a group of supporters that she will hang on in the race. However in what appears to be the real sign of conceding, Bachmann cancelled her planned campaign to South Carolina. A top Republican later told reporters that Bachmann will end her race.

With the confirmation from a top adviser, the entire world is currently waiting to hear from the woman who took American politics by storm in 2010.
