Michele Bachmann to meet Donald Trump again
November 21st, 2011 - 7:37 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattWashington, Nov 21 (THAINDIAN NEWS) GOP presidential hopeful Michele Bachmann will meet real estate mogul Donald Trump on Monday. The meeting will be the fourth between the two Republicans since Bachmann announced her intentions to contest for the presidential nomination spot. The last meeting between the two 13th of October in New York.
The spokesperson of Bachmann announced that the meeting will be held at the Trump Towers on Monday. The meeting is expected to last for about an hour.
The Communications Director for Bachmann’s campaign, Alice Stewart, told CNN that, “He called the other day … and she’d mentioned she was going to be in New York. It should last about an hour or so.”
Trump declined to run for the GOP race earlier in the year. He announced that he will not take the stand this term but that has not changed his influence on the other candidates. Nearly all the candidates have paid a visit to him at the Trump Towers.
Bachmann has seen her challenge for the presidential race wane over the weeks. She has moved behind the other candidates in recent polls which place Rick Perry and Mitt Romney at the top.
Trump was part of the so-called ‘birther’ group which challenged President Barack Obama to produce his birth certificate.
