Meira Kumar extends Diwali greetings

New Delhi, Nov 3 (IANS) Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar Wednesday prayed for the prosperity of India and greeted people on the occasion of Diwali, the festival of lights to be celebrated Friday.
In her message, she said: “On the auspicious occasion of Diwali, I convey my warmest greetings to everyone in India and abroad.”
She said Diwali symbolised the elimination of all “negative forces that impede our progress. May the glow of Diwali fill the lives of our people with happiness and prosperity.”
