The scandalous saga revolving around Senator Paul Stanley and intern McKensie Morrison had all the melodrama present in it that took to cook up a spicy, scandal story; sex, drama and extortion attempt.

Till Tuesday, when the Memphis lawmaker announced his plans of retiring from state Senate on August 10, Senator Paul Stanley had maintained quite a low profile. This decision was taken in the light of his extramarital affair with Morrison getting exposed in the public glare. The 47 year old Stanley said that he has taken the decision to “focus his full attention” on his family henceforth, so the decision to quit office.

In these times, after the alleged affair had been revealed, neither intern Morrison nor the Senator took to speaking in the public. A court hearing this month had indicated that charges of extortion involved in the case was getting investigated by the legal authorities. Stanley had issued a statement saying that he had been asked not to speak to the media by the prosecutors. This claim was however, refuted by the prosecutors, who claimed no one has Stanley to remain silent concerning the media.

Senator Stanley has reportedly admitted to having a sexual relationship with Morrison, according to the affidavits and testimonies. Morrison’s former boyfriend, Joel Watts is charged with the extortion attempt, after having reportedly demanded $10,000 from Stanley in return of some illicit pictures he had in possession that could reveal the nature of relation between Stanley and Morrison.
