Mayawati’s sops for government employees
December 17th, 2011 - 7:10 pm ICT by IANSLucknow, Dec 17 (IANS) With an eye to the upcoming state assembly elections, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati Saturday announced some sops for certain categories of government employees.
Besides several financial benefits to lower category of employees, the retirement age of employees of public undertakings has been raised from 58 years to 60 years.
Employees unions who had been demanding this increase in the retirement age have welcomed the move.
