May 15, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): South Carolina Governor, Mark Sanford, reunited with his mistress, Maria Belen Chapur, in the preceding weekend in Florida. The Governor has corroborated that he had a dialogue with Chapur to determine whether they could recommence their romantic liaison.

Sanford had puzzlingly evaporated for about a week in 2009 and his location was not known even to his wife and the State Law Enforcement Division, which is answerable for his safety. He had articulated to his workforce that he would be hiking on the Appalachian Trail before his vanishing. Doubts arose when he did not respond to 15 cell phone calls from his Chief of Staff, Scott English, and also did not converse with his family on Father’s Day.

The entire incident then acquired mammoth news coverage and a reporter then witnessed him arriving at an airport in a neighboring state subsequent to soaring back from Argentina. After realizing that proofs are being gathered together against him by the press, he organized a news conference and confessed that he had been two-timing his wife.

His wife, Jenny, then terminated her matrimony with him. Mark Sanford will be quitting his gubernatorial office in the coming January.

Sanford was outspoken about his latest encounter with 43-year-old Chapur, who has two sons. She resides in a 14th floor apartment building in the city of Buenos Aires and functions as a commodity broker.
