Maharashtra governor given additional charge of Gujarat

New Delhi, July 30 (IANS) Maharashtra Governor S.C. Jamir has been given additional charge of Gujarat till the time designate Devendra Nath Dwivedi assumes the charge.
“President (Pratibha Patil) has appointed Jamir, governor of Maharashtra, to discharge the functions of the governor of Gujarat, in addition to his own duties, until Devendra Nath Dwivedi, the governor designate, assumes the charge of the office,” an official statement Thursday said.
